3 Categories of Books You Can Easily Declutter

Hello my Lovely!

Are you ready to declutter some books?

I bet you and I have something in common: we both love books and are avid readers. As a Professional Organizer, I often see massive book collections where only a tiny fraction of my clients' books are actually being used, loved and read.

And as a former Librarian, I have to say, it makes me giddy to help my clients with this. :) It is SO fun for me to dig in and help my clients discard the books that don't light them up anymore and then make the remaining collection both functional and beautiful.

Your Clutter is Keeping You From a Life You Love

Your Clutter is Keeping You From a Life You Love

Many of us have so much stuff  that we don't enjoy our homes. There is stuff everywhere. We haven't seen our table tops in ages, it's hard to navigate some rooms without tripping over something or bruising our hip squeezing past furniture. There might be whole sections of our homes that we avoid at all costs. One of my favorite clients has a room that we lovingly refer to as "The Mystery Room" because what's in it is, well, a mystery.

You may live alone or you may live with 10 people but we are all doing basically the same things in our homes. And when you come home, there is a sense of relief. That you can take off your shoes and strip off your armor and be your truest self. Let it all hang out.

If there is something that bothers you in your space, it can really bother you.

Stop Clutter from Coming in Your House

Hey Gorgeous!

Clients call me when they are feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of stuff they have in their homes.  It might be an office, a closet, a pantry or their whole diddly dang house. They can't even begin to figure out how to organize all that stuff because it causes Brain Freeze. No, not the kind you get from drinking a milkshake really fast, this Brain Freeze happens when we are confronted with having to make a gazillion decisions about what we should do with our stuff.

And make no mistake, that's why we avoid dealing with clutter. Because making a ton of decisions is HARD.
